"Just Keep Swimming..."

Between all the things that we did each day in Virginia... the pool was always on the list. We did a lot of swimming! There was a neighborhood pool at the home that we stayed at so we basically went everyday. Rylan has always been pretty clingy when we've gone swimming in the past. We went a lot like I said before and I think that helped because by the end, he got pretty comfortable in the water. He loves the water!

Addilyn chilled in the shallow water with Mommy. She loved to splash the water and get it all in her face. She was laughing, clapping, and yelling away with excitement.


We visited the stairs on the deeper side of the pool. I have no idea why, but once again Addilyn was so excited. She screamed and splashed like crazy! (You can see her mouth open mid yelling in the picture below).

Rylan's all time favorite thing to do at the pool is to jump in from the side to someone. He could do this for hours! I started backing away a little each time and he didn't protest to jumping completely in before I grabbed him. He loves the water! (Ignore my silly expression, it was the best picture of him jumping though.)

One of the days we were there, we went with my Aunt Jennifer and her three children to a really neat pool with all sorts of water toys, slides, and fountains. There was so much to see and do... Rylan was everywhere!



He ran through these floor water fountains back and forth, letting them hit his face and stepping on them too. He did this alone for about a half hour or more. As simple as they were, it was one of his favorite parts!




They had a baby pool as well that was gated off to the side. Addilyn loved it! She would walk along the edge walls and every so often bend over to splash in the water :)

Rylan eventually was brave enough to go down one of the slides...


But I think he was most comfortable in the baby pool. He was happy playing with the water toys and running around in knee deep water.


Addilyn was exhausted by the end. I sat her down to gather our things when we were about to leave, I look up no more then a few minutes later and I find her like this....

To be able to fall asleep while sitting up... poor little girl was wiped out!
